Red stag deer antlers are of limited supply and are sourced from natural separation from the animal or as a by-product of slaughter. Each year a stag deer will shed it’s antler and regrow them. This is an entirely natural process. Occasionally stags are killed and their antlers are removed.

Antlers are an extension of a deer’s skull, generally found only on males with the exception of reindeer / caribou. Antlers function primarily as a sexual attraction and weapon in fights.

Red stag deer antlers have been used as decoration, manufacturing and taxidermy for hundreds of years. More recently they have been cut up into dog chews due to their high nutritious value as well as being eco-friendly and natural.
